Here is my tale of woe.... October 2003 I had a severe case of cellulitis on my ankle. I had a blister the size of a LARGE baked potato on the back of my calf. I was admitted to the hospital and given HEAVY antibiotics. I was then treated as if I had a severe burn...go to the burn center, receive the skin peelings etc etc. I have a BIG scar similiar to a burn scar. My ankle continues to swell... Is this a lifelong thing?
THENNNN... last November 2005 I slip and fell and break my ankle (same ankle I had cellulitis on). I had surgery whereas a plate and 7 screws were inserted. All is healed now ...EXCEPT...My ankle still swells. No one can give me an answer! Is this going to be a lifelong thing? I elevate when I can and ice when I can...I just want to get it back to normal!!
