I started getting ankle pain in my left ankle (above the outside ankle bone). If I do sustained walking for more than 5-10 minutes the pain starts and builds until I am unable to walk.
I had both a lumbar MRI & one of the ankle. The Lumbar was inconclusive. The Dr. who read the ankle MRI said it was a split tear in the brevis tendon. Went to an ankle surgeon who took additional x-rays. He said he saw nothing unusual..no tear. There is no swelling. You can poke and prod the ankle area and it does not hurt. He suggested I go see a spine surgeon. In the meantime he gave me an ankle brace to wear to see if it helps. It feels good but I still get the pain with any walking.
This had shut my life down!! Please help if you have any suggestions. Thank you.
