I had a 3-day drill 3 months ago, and i severely injured my ankle. Just last night i went to the doctor and he said i had a chipped bone from my ankle. He sent me to another doctor for Physical Theropy and that doctor told me it was a sprain. Can you please give me a proper diagnosis for me?

No one could possibly provide you a proper diagnosis of your ankle without any diagnostic tools like xray, mri, or other. They can only offer suggestions. Can you place weight on your foot? Have you had any tests? Is there swelling? DOM

  • What kind of pain are you experiencing, is burning, sharp, dull ect.Just by hearing how you hurt it, the pain and that it hasnt healed yet I would look into the possiblity of RSD, Refex Sympathetic Dystrophy. RSD is basically caused by injuring a nerve and sprained ankles are the top causes after surgery. RSD is extreamly hard to diagnose as many doctors dont really know about it. Hope you get some answers

  • Hi soldier I first want to say THANK YOU for what you are doing for our country. Secondly I definitely suggest x-rays and when u have them done make sure you have a set done while standing. I was diagnosed with a sprain in July and just had surgery in november because x-rays were not done standing up when I first did it. The reason for the standing x-rays is that one type of sprain the high ankle sprain can only be detected when standing because its the ligament that holds the tibia and fibula together and when laying down it does nothing. Hope that you can get this resolved.Proud Army Sisterlizz ramsey
