I'm a very active 65 yr old who started having bouts of tiredness aprox 1 yr ago. Blood tests indicated slightly low hemoglobin, hematocrit, and slightly elevated RDW (whatever that is). Blood test aprox every 4 mo. with slight decline in all three areas. treatment was prenatal doses of iron but still steady decline. latest results show additional decline rbc, mchc and mpv.. year ago had upper gi and colonoscopy done..all clear. dr doesn't know what problem is but now suggests bone marrow test. can anything be done before we go tht route?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
