Anal Seepage Problem

I've had an odd symptom lately. I believe it all started when I had strep throat which along with the antibiotics I was taking caused some diarrhea. I was wiping very often due to this and the area became quite raw, after the diarrhea subsided it was still raw and I noticed spots of blood o the toilet paper after wiping, none in the stool or underwear, just on the paper when wiping. This is nothing new do I figured if it was just given time to heal it would get better. Well after awhile it became very very itchy, and subsequent wiping and scratching due to this just started a vicious cycle. It was then that I noticed an anal discharge in a sort of light yellow- light brown colour which has now been going on for about 5 days. I visited my doctor two days ago and after examining it noticed a sore, he prescribed some cream but it hasn't helped as of yet. The itching isn't as bad but the seepage has persisted, it is a very annoying symptom and is beginning to unnerve me, what could this be caused by/ how could I accelerate it getting better?

  • Well, the problem was persisting so I returned to the doctor, this time a comprehensive analysis resulted in the finding of some internal hemorrhoids, I've been put on suppositories which seem to be a little bit. I find that the mucous seeping has become less severe, although bowel movements are kind of painful and mucous seeps worse right after and subsides shortly afterwards. Could anyone perhaps suggest something which could be done in addition to this to speed healing?

  • A return to the doctor yielded a more comprehensive examination which turned up the presence of some internal hemorrhoids. I've been put on suppositories which have helped a good deal. I was wondering however if there was anything I could safely do in addition to my current treatment to speed the process? Thanks in advance.
