A few weeks ago I've noticed a little blood in my stool after being done. It usually apears at the beggining of the stool and not a lot, but enough to notice blood. At first I didnt think much of it, I am 23 thinking this will just go away and might have been something my stomach didnt like. But now its been about 3 weeks, and I still get it. I dont see it always in my stool, but about 85% of the time. I've also noticed that lately I feel bloated in my stomach and pass gas more often. I've NEVER had these issues before. Does anybody know what this is all about ?? I am scared and at the same time dont want to see a physician right now, just want to know if anybody has more info on this??? Please respond.

  • You should never freaked out until you know the facts. This issue could be as simple as a hemroid...and no not all hemroids are huge and protrude, some can be on the inside of the rectum where you wont actual feel them.My advice is to go to your doctor and explain whats going on...if hemroids is the answer at least you can feel better actually knowing what it is...and if its not at least your doctor can do other tests to rule out anything bad.Good luck and take care.

  • What exactly is a hemroid? And how do you cure it? Is this something that people live with? or a doctor could fix only?

  • A hemroid is nothing but an enlarged blood vessle in the rectum or just around it. It is generally caused by excessive pushing during a bowel movement or after having a baby. They are not in the least serious but can be very annoying.Heat is really the best thing to get rid of them...example sitting in a warm bath or on a hot water bottle.A doctor can check for you to see if you have them. They tend to cause bleeding because they tend to rupture during a bowel movment therefore causing you to see blood in the toilet...again its not serious just one of those things...but I would check with your family doc to make sure that it isnt anything serious...BEst of luck and I hope I was helpful!

  • So by sitting in warm water does this "cure" it, or just might stop for alittle bit? Basically, if I got it now, it will never leave me, I could only make it go away for a little bit, but in the long run it will always be with me, correct? Also, seeing blood when wiping (sorry for being so straight), this is ok? I feel like I have a period, but I know its not my period, and it is very little bit of blood, but still looks weird to see blood after bowel movement. I will go check out my doc, but am a very busy wife therefor wanted to do a little bit of my own research before seeing my doc (and also a little uncomfortable telling this to someone face to face). Thanks so much for all your help guys!!!! This website is AWSOME! Didnt even think there is "free" advise anymore. Wow .... thank you.

  • I too had this problem a few years back. They did a colonoscopy on me and found a polyp. I also had some hemorrhoids, but I didn't know if it was the polyp or the hemorroid that was causing the bleeding. I do know that I don't have the bleeding anymore. Good luck!

  • What did they do with your polyp? Should this just go away sometime by itself?v22
