My 2 yr old is going through a difficult period (although he is very calm and non complaining at all throughout this ordeal) for the last month or so:
Symptoms (in short): - Cough (on & off). Not completely dry OR thick mucous etc - Itchy nose (constant issue). No running nose etc but now and then, he has a little substance there - Wheezing (on & off but occuring more often these days). I believe whenever he develops a tiny mucous in the tracts, he shows this difficulty in breathing. Few times when we give a steam inhalation, he gets better otherwise he is on a Albuterol
My Doctor thought this is an allergy and he is on Claritin (maybe helps a little extent) but this cough/difficulty has not disappeared so far and when I one of my colleagues kid was diagnosed with a "walking" cough AND while searching I only came across a "walking" Pneumonia, I get a lill concerned ???
While we are trying to localize if this is a food allergy OR even env (weather / house related / dust mites etc), if anyone can share any opinions, suggestions , it would be greatly appreciated.
