I am 30 yrs old female. My health has been normal for the past 29 years and lately these few months, i m having the following problems: breathlessness, tight chest, sudden cold sweat (hands & feet), body ache. These syptoms always come and go. I have seen a few docs. In the beginning, the docs claimed that i m having hyperventilation due to stress/anxiety as i breathe too hard which cause breathing difficulties and numbness to hands and feet with cold sweat. Lately, i do not hyperventilation problems but i can feel my chest is still tight, shortness of breath easily and sudden cold sweats and body ache even simple activities. And now i m unable to enjoy my favourite singing session with my frens and even afraid of exercising as i worried that i do not know when i am going to collapse. Can anyone advise what problems do i have actually ?? Do i need to seek a cardiologist or a physcologist ?? All the docs i have seen mentioned that i do not need so as all these are due to my anxiety... i m not convince and i feel that my problems are more than that ..... Looking to someone reply, help !!!:(

  • It could be anxiety, but your symptoms can also be caused by celiac disease, including the anxiety.

  • Thanks aquila, so ur advice is i might not having heart problems but mostly cause by anxiety? can celiac disease cause the symptoms that i having now? by the way, i have done a blood test. Result out n everything seems ok except my total cholesterol is 201mg/dl n relative cardiovascular risk is 5.0 mg/L. My doc has mentioned i might have high risk of heart disease. Any suggestion that i still need to rule out to see a cardiologist ??:(

  • What lab work have you had?A CRP(C-reactive protein) can tell you about your risk of heart disease.

  • Hi Richard, My CRP result is 5.0, meaning that the risk of heart attack is high. Based on my report, range> 3.1 - 10.0 is consider on the high side. No, i have not seen a doc for my heart, do u think its necessary ?? All my docs didn't mention to me about seeing a cardiologist, should I ???
