A year ago i started getting symptoms of MS but my MRI & Evoked potentials test was fine. All other tests were fine, so i was sent for a Lumbre Puncture which showed results that was consistant with MS. I have now been asked to have a neck scan, any idea's why?

Also i have started suffering with siezures which my neurologist says is possible Epilepsy & has ordered tests for.
For the past few months my siezures have been the same eg, I can be walking down the road, get a strange feeling in my stomach which rises to my head, then a few moments later, i come out of it to find myself at the top of the road with no memory of it, or no idea how i'd got there. I appear spaced out to others.

For the past few days they have been different.I get an intense fear & feel the need to sit down. I make strange groaning noises & fiddle with my face. I can remember everything about these ones but have no control over them & can't stop them. Again i can't respond to anyone although i can hear everything they say.

Is it common to have all these symptoms together?

Also my mum told me that when i was younger i used to fall to the floor & my arm or leg would ***k, but nothing could be found. She said it stopped happening when i was about 11, although i have little memory of this. Would this have shown up on my MRI if i had been Epileptic for years?

Please help, i feel like i'm going mad !

  • Seizures don't show up on MRI. Every symptom you have described can be attributed to a seizure. You're not going crazy, you probably have epilepsy.

Please help, i feel like i'm going mad !From my experiance and what u have said here, U could have MS and or epilepsy. Why they want to do a mri of the neck is because lesions can hide in there aswell as in the head. This is what they have come to the conclusion with me. However, u mentioned something about a spinal tap, is that correct? Because that should tell them all the info for ms right there. My nephew has epilepsy and sometimes spaces out and forgets things. So it is very possible u r having absence seizure. Anyway, hopefully u will get some answers.
