It took a vet to diagnose me.My Dr. is making me mad. I have had blood tests and sample(negative for bacteria, which stumps me).I am on an antihistmaine AND an antibiotic.( was on one kind for about a week and for the last 6 days tetracycline) I am not getting better. I have 2 huge lumps on my left arm.But my legs are bad.I have multiple pus/blood filled sores on them. One sore is now actually a hole the size of a pencil eraser. I am pretty sure I can see my muscle. My Dr. is at a loss, when I told her the hole is getting bigger. I do have a dermatologist appt. but that is not until Nov. 4th.Something needs to be done now! I wonder what kind of disease I could get from a flea bite and why the sample came back negative for bacteria.(or can it be a false negative result again?)

  • What bacterias did the dr test for? More vets recognize Lyme and co infections than mds do.You can get Lyme and co-infections from Fleas. Can you post a photo of the bites? If So, I suggest you do so at www.lymenet.org. Someone was recently there, with a similar type mark. Take care.~~~JerseyLymie

  • Thid does not sound like flea bites. It does sound like a spider bite. Where are you living?
