misdiagnosed with chrones, left it a year ago as an infection of small intestine. progressively, developed and now complete with multiple skin deformities- severe ingrown hairs, painful cyst-like bumps on inner nose, face, scalp, some hair loss, random bruises on tailbone same spot but never because of any trauma. still unable to regain lost weight and weak. so frustrated about to go to ER but know they'll admit me and can't handle another misdiagnosis. thanks.

  • "Skin involvement occurs in about 40% of patients with Crohn disease. Often the involvement is an extension of the intestinal disease and presents as fissures and abscesses around the perineal and perianal region. However, any part of the skin can be affected. Lesions may present as spots or plaques found on the trunk, arms and legs, and they may be mildly itchy. In some cases distinctive dermatoses are present." DermNet look up erythema nodosum, which looks like ingrown hairs.
