Two days after I ended my last period I began having symptoms almost identical to period pains: mild abdominal cramps, pressure, and bloating, achey lower back, a bit more fatigued. The pain is usually mild discomfort/cramping with intermittant sharper pains. During the first two days, accompanied with this was a constant pressure headache. Bowel movement also changed slightly (a bit more difficult).
After a week of constant abdominal discomfort I went to my gyno. She prescribed medication for a mild yeast infection, but said that the infection should not cause pain and could find no other reason for the pain. She sent me to get an ultrasound, but they also found no signs of anything out of the ordinary.
I'm just concerned. Why do I feel like this? Is it possibly related to a food allergy? I've never been allergic to anything before. I'm 29. No children. Had an abortion 9 years ago. Any ideas? What should I ask to be screened for?
