Acute Fever of unknown origin, polyarthritis and thrombocytopinia ???

My father (56yrs) has been suffering from Fever since 10 days associated with severe PolyArthralgia, Myalgia.
Diagnosed DVT in left calf vein with no pulmonary embolism.
Icterus since 2 days.
No comorbid illness.
Lab Findings:

Thrombocytopenia (platelet 110lac)
Rising WBC Count (from 10000 to 27000 in last 3 days), Neutrophilia
Raised CRP
Normal PCT Level
Serum bilirubin level (5.4 mg%, direct 4.8 mg%)
Normal Liver enzyme
All viral studies (chikungunia, hunta, hepatitis, leptospyra, brucella)
Collagen studies and rheumatic workup normal
Basal atelectasis on CXR
Fundoscopy - Cottonwool spots on retina
Blood culture awaitedTreatment given:

Tablet Falcigo x 7 days
Doxy x 7 days
Ceftriaxon x 3 days
SOS Antipiratic analgesicSo far no confirmed diagnosis achieved and fever spikes becoming more frequent and on increasing grade (upto 39 degC).

Please help!!!
