I have recently been diagnosed with acute compartment syndrome. I have no feeling in my foot or toes, and very little in the calf. I also have no movement in my foot or toes. This injury occured on December 9th 2006. My doctor has had me on bedrest since December 11th 2006. I am also now in a brace to help my foot drop. I can't put pressure on my foot either. I have now lost muscle and my leg continues to weaken. This injury occured from a basketball injury, we are not completely sure of the accident, but we think I might have been kicked or landed on. Is my doctor doing everything he needs to or should I seek additional help?

  • Seek additional help but not through a western doc. Please try acupuncture to help speed your healing. Acupuncture is wonderful and used alot in sports medicine recovery. To find one near you log on to www.acufinder.com and type in your zip code. Hope this helps,Doctor of Oriental Medicine
