I wonder if anyone has gone thru this- I had bad heartburn for 2 years, well anyway they put me on prevacid and it took the edge off but didnt eliminate it. They did the nissen fundo where they wrap part of the stomach around the esophogus and acid cant come up.I went off the prevacid the day of surgery anyway a couple days after the surgery I started getting real nauseaus and waited a few days and went back on the prevacid and it went away within 2 days. I keep trying to go off the prevacid but everytime I do I get deathly nauseaus and have diarrhea within a couple days.
Before the surgery they did the PH test and acid came up close to 200 times.which is alot of acid.
Im at my wits end . The DRs cant figure out why I cant go off the prevacid.
Anybody got any advice?
