For a couple months, i've been having really weird, aching pains in my stomach. they are usually in the center, under my ribs. But sometimes the pains are on the right side. Today the pains were really sharp on the right side under my ribs. Pressing where it hurts sometimes helps. I have no idea what it could be.
I have bad back pains as well, but im almost positive that isnt linked.
Also, about a year ago i had a really bad kidney infection. I dont think that would have anything to do with it, but you never know.

  • I also had reoccurring pain in the upper middle part of my stomach as well as my lower right side and back. The pains in my lower right side came and went for about 10 years. The pain was so bad at times that I went to the ER only to be told it was most likely a ruptured cyst. The pain would last for several days. Eventually I started having terrible stomach aches. The pain was in the upper middle part of my stomach and felt almost like a burning pain. My doctor used a camera to view my stomach and found I had a Hiatal Hernia. I hate taking meds so I learned to control the hernia pretty well by eating early in the evening and avoiding saucy foods, mostly Itailan. My lower pain still persisted until my Appendix ruptured. Of course I didn't know it had ruptured since I was use to the reoccurring pain. I made a trip to the ER only to wait 9 hours and return home without being seen. I went to my doctor a week after the pain started and found out, she sent me straight to the Hospital where I was admitted and placed on antibiotic for 2 weeks before they took my Appendix. Of course when they took it they told me the tip of it was gang green. I was very lucky. The point of this story is that since my Appendix has been gone for 2 years now and I have been completely pain free! Even my Hiatal Hernia doesn't bother me anymore. It may be worth researching.

  • When is the last time you saw the dr? How old are you? Are you overweight? Are you Female? Do you have or possibly have diabetes? Any fevers? Any nausea? Any digestive problems? Those back pains can be from a number of things, including diseases involving the gall bladder. pancreas, liver. Also the kidneys. Since you had a bad kidney infection before I would suggest getting checked out soon. Maybe you are passing stones from time to time? Who knows? Back pains and pains on the right upper abdomen are often linked btw so don't assume that the pains aren't linked... gall bladder pain can refer and radiate to the back to areas such as under the scapula (your shoulder blade). Don't try to diagnose yourself. Best to check these things out with a qualified dr before as some problems can get very bad if there is a delay in getting properly diagnosed. Good luck.
