I had an abcess over a year ago that my is just below my vagina. My OB lanced and drained it and it was horribel. Well a week later it started coming back, my OB said there is probably a large pocket further down and I need regular surgery to get this done. Well I cannot afford my co-pay and so now here I am over a year later and the thing flares up all the time but now I can also push on it and it drains from my rectum and I also not have a small area at the opening of the vagina that drains pus.

I am scared and do not know what to do. Any idea what this could be?

  • Sounds like a perianal cyst. Only true cure is continued surgery every time the cyst returns. Could be a Bartholin's gland cyst, but the location sounds a bit off. To ease discomfort or pain, try some an ice pack on the area. Keep the area clean with witch hazel (like Tuck's pads).
