I've had abdominal pain for weeks now. Initially it was right upper quadrant, with sporadic pain in other spots. It's seems to come and go for bad pain mostly on the right, sometimes on the left, normally upper quadrant. My stool has been ribboned off and on but not consistently, it is consistently thin. It feels like I'm spasming inside, if I lay on my right side the spasms worsen. I'm not running a fever. There is no noticeable blood in my stool though they've not taken a stool sample. They did a CT scan and it showed nothing. My bloodwork came back normal as well. I'm bloated, and I do seem to be burping more than normal. If I lay down I get very loud consistent bowel sounds. The only diagnosis I've gotten so far is not even a diagnosis, it's one of my symptoms, abdominal pain. The pain is not always present but there is discomfort 100% of the time. Please help. Oh, and another thing, if I lay on my left side it feels like something heavy is pressing down.

We went to a GI doc and she had her get an x-ray to look for a blockage. I really thought this was a waste of time because she's got diarreah. Well, she had a blockage. Apparently the colon stretches around the blockage & mostly liquid & small amounts of feces can get through. I strongly urge you to go to a GI doctor. Good luck

  • Ah, should also say, I'm a 34 yo male. No known medical conditions that could cause all of this have been diagnosed on my medical records.
