I'm 24 years old and ever since I was 19 I have been losing weight. My stomach usually feels bloated and achy and it does more so after eating. I keep feeling weaker and more and more tired. I often have night sweats when I am feeling worse and I almost always feel thirsty. I'm not sure if this is related but I always have a slightly stuffy nose. All of these problems have been much worse over the past year. Doctors have ran all kinds of blood tests including tests for thyroid problems, diabetes, general organ problems, STDs and all of these tests show I am fine. I did however have slightly high protein levels but my doctor was not concerned. I recently had a colonoscopy and small bowel series done and both tests also show I am fine. Just a few days ago I had an upper GI endoscopy done and the results show that I have gastritis. I'm not yet sure what would cause this and I'm still waiting for the results of the biopsy from that test. I've been doing some research and based on my symptoms it also seems like I could possbily have TB, but not infecting my lungs. I have not yet been tested for this. About a year ago I visited Viet Nam and just about all of the food there did not agree with me. Shortly after returning home I felt better, but 6-7 months later my stomach problems started to get worse.

Thank you for any suggestions.

  • Tuberculosis first occur in the lungs, the symptoms are violent, you couldn`t have possibly not noticed that, after a while(if not treated correctly) the koch bacillus could infect the bones, kidneys etc,or it may reactivate in the lungs. In Europe we are all TB vaccinated and the disease has been almost eradicated i belive it`s the same in America,so i think you should forget about TB.I would suggest a test but i do not want to scare you;it is your weight loss and sweating which make me thing about that condition(which i trully hope does not affect you)
