Last night I woke up with severe abdominal pain. I got out of bed and went into the living room. The pain was the worst I had ever experienced and was kneeling on the floor with my arms and head on the sofa. The next thing I remember was I was on my back with pins and needles all over my body and a cold feeling all over. After a couple of minutes I could move and I had a large lump on the back of my head where I hit the concrete floor.!) minutes after that I had "jaggy like multicolour shapes" in my peripheral vision. Today my stomach is still a little sore but I have had my Gallstones taken out so I know it is not that. This has never happened to be before. Can anyone help as I am worried?

  • The reason for the pins and needles and the cold feeling was your bodies natural response to the tremendous pain. What happened was called a Vasil Vagel response, almost like passing out slightly. The Pins and Needles where probably caused from rapid beathing and hyperventilating, causing you to "Blackout" in a sense. Same with the cold feeling. From passing out, your body responded by sort of going into shock, causing you to feel cold. As to why that happened in the first place and what exactly caused the pain, I could not say. Seems to me like you had some type of intestinal pain caused by either food poisoning, or maybe IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), or something similar. Hope I helped somewhat.
