My Mom has been gradually getting larger around her stomach and hips, to an exterme for her size. She is careful of what she eats, and does not gain weight, only size. She also can't take anything tight around her stomach. She has type 2 diabetes and has had a major stroke. She is limited in activity due to nerve damage in her legs, so exercise is not viable. Can anyone tell us wht causes this and what can we do for it? Her regular doctor just says diet and execise. I know this has to be affecting her heart and other issues, and also puts a lot of extra strain on her legs. Is there a name for this and can it be treated?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
