Hi, I am 24 years old, I used to be a HEAVY drinker and heavy smoker and have recently quit both for 2 months. about a month prior I experienced dull pain that comes and goes throughout the day. It is located about an inch and a half to the left of my belly button.(not on the surface) It still occurs to this day, really scared and wonder what possibilities it could be. Thanks!

Well, at the risk of sounding obvious, it could be a liver problem, from the heavy drinking which would cause a dull pain I believe, but I doubt it because your quite young and the pain would be much higher up on the stomach. Other possibilities are the intestines, your tummy button is surrounded by intestine, so it could be a mild infection or even a hernia, but you'd be able to feel a lump. I'm not a doctor, just someone who has more than their fair share of stomach pain, but this would be my guess. If it bugs you seek medical advice, but I dont think its anything too bad or you'd have worse symptoms, hope this helps.:)
