Mar. 20,2012,it felt like blisters on tongue, 2 days later, these white milky raised patches formed on sides of tongue..internist said alpthous ulcers and prescribed an anti-viral..didn't work..week late went to 1st ENT, agreed and gave me a dental paste..didn't work, white lines formed all over inside of cheeks,,looked like thrush, but wasn't,little red blisters on tip of tongue and hairy looking stuff all over tongue, patches on sides of tongue got much worse, painful, rubbing on teeth, sometimes looked layered..went to 2nd ENT..found tumor on back of tongue..and ordered an anti-fungus for tongue..biopsy on tumor benign..tongue still bad, still burning a sensation, developed 4 bad canker sores on inside of lip, went to oral surgeon and he couldn't figure out, so sent me to infectious disease spec. who put me on prednisone, ordered tons of blood tests, neg. for HIV, normal tcells, in fact..nothing showed up as a concern, now I was a smoker, but not for 3 weeks now..white patches are still there, and a bit better, seems to come on in episodes but tongue still burns and now I have a new, large red sore on back of other side of tongue..Has anybody ever experienced anything like this? Any suggestions? what to do next? IReply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
