My son has had problems since he was an infant with bloating and constipation. He strains a lot. He has been seeing a pediatric gastro NP for a while. Supposedly, he does not have a gluten allergy. He seems to only have more bowel movements (but still abnormal-explosive diarrhea and soft stool) with an adult dose of miralax. I don't want his body getting used to it. He gets impactions and occas. foul smelling diarrhea after an episode of constipation. An x-ray looked very weird. Half of his bowel was white and the other half was clear looking. He looks very bloated. He has chronic left sided enlarged neck lymph nodes also, which none of the doctors want to address. He hasn't been having as many sinus infections since he received a adult pnuemacocal shot from the allergist. (His strep antibodies were strangely low-2 out of 12) He complains of abdominal pain and he is gasey.
