I'm without a diagnosis and have been suffering for 4 months. I'm not so sure how much more of this I can take...

Symptoms:

-Constant lower abdominal pain (left side)
-Intermittent kidney pains
-Intermittent chest pains in lungs
-Progressive cough every morning and coated tongue
-Poor digestion/absorption and a white, cloudy substance present during elimination
-Frequent urination
-Lethargy
-Intermittently feeling like my eyeball is going to bulge out of my head
-Frequent headaches
-Abdominal bloating with gas/acid
-Rash that gathered behind my left knee and behind my elbows (early symptom, but has gone)

Tests:

-CT Scans (abdominal)
-Small intestinal x-ray
-Chest x-ray
-Blood work
-C Diff
-Ova and Parasite
-EKG
-Colonoscopy
-HIV, clamydia, syphillus, and gonorrhea

These all had normal results, but I'm still feeling terrible. I can barely get to work in the morning because of how ill I feel on a constant basis.

I'm 24, have a cancer history (testicular), am 6'4" 220 lbs, and am otherwise in good health.

Does anyone have any idea or have some clue about what to test for next?

I'm looking at Lymphatic Filariasis, Polyateritis Nodasa, Wegener's Granulomatisis, and Diabetes...

Thanks in advance!

  • Since you have a history of testicular cancer; maybe get back in and get a follow up with your oncologist just to be safe; if you have not done so already. BTW have you had an MRI scan?Sad to hear you had testicular cancer at such a young age. Take care and good luck.I'm without a diagnosis and have been suffering for 4 months. • White stool is a malabsorption issue as you are probably aware. Since it is not a mechanical problem (CT negative) could it be celiac?

  • My gastroenterologist told me that Celiac "presents itself differently" then the current symptoms I have.I felt better on a week of doxycycline too, but all symptoms returned the day after I quit taking it.My aunt thinks I have a candida albicans infection in my bowel or intestine from the sludge on my tongue.I'm basically at the point where I want some Nystatin, Vermox, or more antibiotics just to know that we're trying something :-(

  • Internal Cystitis might be a good possibility. I might have to follow up with my Urologist. My mom has a history of thyroid problems, so that's a definite possibility. My main concern at this time is my lack of health insurance. I keep going, they keep shrugging and sending me more bills. I luckily was approved for financial assistance, but I still get bills albeit about $600 so far instead of $9,000 which I originally got just for an 8 hour ER stay.:mad:It sucks not getting an excellent job right out of college and getting tossed off your parents coverage even if you're still considered in remission from cancer (this was last year...I was 5 years cured this past February). Anyone need a dedicated IT Support Specialist with good communication/writing skills? :D

  • Re job. Have you applied at a local hospital? They usually have pretty good insurance benefits. And big IS departments. Is your tongue fuzzy? Get some diflucan if you can. Stupidly expensive, but will fix you up quickly if it is Candida. See if your doc has some samples. You only need two pills (usually) taken a week apart. The antibiotics kill off some normal growths and the yeast over-grows. EVERY time I take an anti-, I have them prescribe two Diflucan doses. Look up achoic stool. These issues are not just a little poop problem.

  • I've sent in about 40 apps to UPMC and haven't gotten a single call...There was a 4 hour period yesterday when I peed 5 times, been really thirsty, have dry lips, and tingling on the head of my penis (especially when I had to urinate),tingling/itchy anus, and a pain in my testicle. My symptoms matched diabetes so much that I went out and bought a meter to check my sugar throughout the day. I got 2 100s and a 96, so I'm pretty sure that's good.I'm thinking it might be lymphatic filariasis...that would explain why doxycycline made my symptoms magically vanish for that week I took it according to wikipedia. I don't however have elephantitis...yet
