25 yr old with chronic knee pain

Im a 25 year old women, height 5'4 weight 9stone. But during 4 months my right knee
has become agony to walk on. It gives way all the time. somedays i cannot stand on it atall. ive had xrays that have come back normal. theres no swelling. and the doctos arent helping me. they dont seem to know wot to do?!
my knee constantly makes grinding noises when i move, sometimes it cracks and pops. they have given me naproxen t help with the pain but no diagnoses!
does anyone have any advice on what i should do or wot it could be?? iv seen 4 different gps in my surgery and none of them seem to be taking me seriously. But the pan is keeping me awake and i can hardly walk some days!!!!
