I am totally stumped. I have been suffering from moderate to sever chest pain (almost feels bone or cartilage related), Sever fatigue (sleeping 12-18 a day), Night sweats and overall sickness for the last 4 weeks. I am relatively healthy with no notable sickness before. I have been tested for everything from TB to hyperthyroidism to blood clots. Complete blood work has been done twice and everything came back normal. A chest x-ray & CAT scan all stating normal. My Dr. basically stated that he couldn't do anymore. Can any one give me any insight?

  • Hi, The chest pain you describe sounds like costochondritis. An inflamation of the rib and sternum joints, I see that fairly often in my physical therapy clinic. Not many therapists know how to correctly treat this however. Night sweats and fatigue are very common with liver problems. The night sweats are often caused by high powered pain relievers. The fatigue you have may be a thyroid problem or you could have chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia (I have written a book on that subject).Find another Doctor who will take you seriously. Lance
