going on 10 weeks my 21 year old daughter began with hand tremors only the fingers uncontrolable; only the hands; constaint, even when sleeping; still has hand strength; no other symptons.

Has been to a neurologist...had a MRI - all clear; thought she had a copper issue...did a 48 hour urine collection...came back cleared; all blood work have come back fine...now she's been told to call the office again to schedule another visit with the neurologist?

Not MS; not Parkinsons; Not Wilson's Disease; no infection; no drugs or alcohol issues.

Any ideas, any help appreciated.

  • also found these online:over-active thyroid gland?liver encephalopathy?hypoglycemia?Deficiencies of magnesium and vitamin B1 have also been known to cause tremor or shaking which resolves when the deficiency is corrected.I have no idea where you live, but: Tremors can also be caused by some spider bites i.e. the redback spider of Australia. does she have any pain, numbness, tingling, pins and needles, etc.?

  • I agree with the vitamin comment. I have had hand tremors, not as bad as you mention your daughter has, but still very noticeable, especially when writing, etc but also when not moving. I have Celiac Disease, which keeps me from absorbing nutrients unless I give up Gluten. My tremors got a lot better after I went on the diet, they're still there but definitely not as bad, but I get better every day still, it takes long.

  • Tremors can run in families.. My sister is the only one in ours that has this, however. Try here: http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/hand_tremor.htm
