Hi, I'm a 20 year old female in college, but I had to leave school 3 weeks before finals because I collapsed in fatigue and intense headaches! I have had this happen to me before its like my symptoms come out of nowhere and then miraciously lessen in intensity.
I have the most pain I've ever experienced on my left cheek right below my eyelid. And then it branches into the side of my nose and lower cheek, it feels as if it is being pinched really hard. When the pain gets really bad I start to feel it across my forehead and it is like a crushing sensation and I'll even feel pain in my teeth. I have so much pain and brain fog right now and I sleep 12 hours a day wake up a couple of hours and feel like I need to go back to sleep again because of the intense pain and fatigue.
I'm on thyroid medicine, so I thought when this had happened to me before and the symptoms lessened in frequency and intensity that it was just my medicine helping and my dr would alter the dosage when I would have an "attack" like this. But they did that again and it never seems to help. I go from healthy and functioning in school (and I'm on a varsity sports team) to feeling like I'm practically dead. I don't know where to turn, I have a neurologist appointment soon. Drs had thought they were migraines in the past and just put me on migraine medicine but does it sound like something else?
