I have a very sick 2 yr. old.. She was diagnosed with sever reflux & resprotory problems when she was 3 mos. old. She also has partial brain damage-- that affects her right side. In Dec., she had tubes put into both ears due to double ear infections every month last year.

I posted back on 7/31 about her having a 103 fever for aprox. 6 days. It finally broke last wend.after aprox. 15 days. And was off & on a few hrs. Wend. thru Fri.... The weekend went by w/ no fever.

Today... the fever returned. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing a fever to last this long? 1 1/2 wks. ago, the doc. said it was a viral infection. She has had several (20+) over the past 2 1/2 yrs. of her life. Her fevers never got that high or even lasted this long.

Any suggestions, PLEASE!!!!! Desprate before she goes down hill again.
Thank you

  • Was hoping to bump this up a little. She is continueing to get fevers, ranging between 100-102. The fevers come & go through out the day-- every day. Her doctor said its just an on going viral infection. She also gets very tired after a short period of active play, and after she eats (if she eats). Could a viral infection really last this long? Or could this be cause of something else going on? Her doc. said shes not worried because my daughter has no other symptoms. Desprate for any answers or suggestions. I am so worried about her. Thanks.

  • Find a pediatrician who is a little more sympathetic to your anxiety. Do you go to a children's hospital for her problems?

  • Many people are getting better with all kinds of symptoms from NAET/Bioset. Reflux is not normal in a 3 month old. Please look into this as a way to help your child. www.naet.com I am also offering this link so you can see what this therapy is doing for people around the globe. I am one of those people. I came here in March...sick....very.Someone here recommended NAET/Bioset and I went. My symptoms are 90% resolved. http://www.naet.com/subscribers/testimonials.html I never would have believed it and was very skeptical but now I am headed back to work for the first time in over a year!! Read around the forum, you will see I am not the only one suggesting this.If you let me know where you live, I will help you find someone near you. Best regards, mommy cat

  • We live in NH. She see's a specalist for her acid reflux @ one of the Childrens Hosp. at Dartmouth. Not the main Hosp., but one that is in a Dartmouth near us. I did find another doc. @ the main hosp. that I will call next week, if her reg. doc dont do any tests. She is suppose to be refering about doing a video fluoroscopic swallow study. But she did not want to because she does not think it will "prove anything". Same with doing an MRI, but she wants to wait to do that one. I know something is going on, because she has had this fever for almost a month now (started 7/26). Today she ate nothing & was not active & t/u twice & gagged all day. I had a question about the NAET. I found one in my state-- which I will call on Monday. However, any ideas on the cost? I am a single parent, out of work because she has been very sick (with so many other prob.s). And her Insurance might not cover it. I am in the process of trying to get her disability, if she gets it than that can help pay for it. Otherwise, we might not be able to. Thanks,Melissa

  • Dear Melissa, I am smiling ear to ear over the thought of you considering NAET for your child. It is generally not covered by insurance. I was out of work also. I wrote an e mail to a local practcioner who agreed to treat me for a substantially lower fee than he normally charges. Now I know why!! I just came home from a job interview....I am heading back to work for the first time in over a year, now that my symptoms are resolved. Perhaps you can email or call the practcioner you have in mind and ask if they have a sliding fee scale. I have recommended this therapy to many others and they are going. I am mhy BioSET doc's biggest fan. People who have seen the miraculous improvement in me are making their own appointments.Even the lady that interviewed me today....I gave her the doc's info too. She is pregnant and having difficulties. When I told her what my symptoms were, she told me she had been experiencing similar issues. Her doc told her it was from her pregnancy. She explained that she had the symptoms far before she got pregnant but now they were worse. He did nothing for her. Sound unbelievable? She is not the only one. This forum is full of people who get treated poorly by doctors. I know. I was one of them.:D VIVA NAET/Bioset....the best medicine noone wants you to know about. Take care and be well. I'm here if you have more questions. regards, mommy cat:)
