I am 48 yrs old male. I have been diagnosed with frequent asymptomatic ventricular ectopics. As if this is not bad enough, my LV is also mildly dialed. LV Distole of 6.5 and LV Systole of 5.4. my EF is about 50%.
I do not have any symptoms. The problem was discovered on a ECG, during a regular medical check up.
My 2 doctors have conflicting opinions. One of them tells me the VEBs are benign, and the other tells me we should look into the possiblity of performing an EP study with the posibilty of ablation.
Anybody with medical knowledge care to comment ?
Thanks in advance.

  • Although this group works mostly with kids - you've had this problem since you were a kid, likely, so I would imagine they could help you get some answers you're looking for. www.savinglittlehearts.com Additionally, if you have surgery, I'm not sure about adult surgery, but the pediatric cardiology groups at University of Michigan was fabulous - my son had his pulmonary artery and aorta switched at 2 weeks old. Best of luck. Keep a positive outlook - but find a really experienced surgeon in your specific fix - if you need surgery - as they see this type of stuff every day.
