I went to my doctor two weeks ago. I had a runny nose, sore throat and fever with headaches. My doctor did a strep screen and it came up negative. He said I had something viral and to go home to sleep it off. After a few days my throat started to feel better and my nose stopped running as much but for the past week and a half I have had these persistent night coughs. Its to the point where at night I can't sleep because these dry coughing fits are so bad. I called my doctor to make an appointment but they are booked up for a while. Am I overreacting by calling to make another appointment so soon? I know I am jumping the gun a bit but a friend of mine was recently diagnosed with pertussis, is there any chance I could have contracted it and that might be the reason for my symptoms?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
