:( My daughter 13 months ago awoke one night with severe stomach pain on the lower right hand side of her stomach. She was taken to hospital and suspected appendicitis but was discharged as did not worsen. Five days later admitted again and discharged again. Since then we have seen several paediatricians who all agree she has severe pain in the ileum region but are unaware of the cause. Referred to another hospital for a second opinion. They referred my daughter to a paediatric gynaecologist as they thought she might have endometriosis. She has last week undergone a laparoscopy only to draw a blank. She has had blood tests, and urine tests that have showed nothing. her school work and social life are suffering. She is a dedicated ballet dancer and has been unable to dance at all for the last 6 weeks as the pain is much worse when exercising. The pain is always there, she has taken several medications to try and relieve the pain they include tramadol, colofac, dihydrocodeine and she takes paracetamol every 4 hours, even through the night. She is not sleeping, is pale and very unwell. I cannot get anyone to understand that this is ruining her life. My doctors have today decided to send her for a barium x ray to see if this shows any bowel problems. My daugher is becoming really down as we are getting nowhere after a year. Please can anyone help.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
