My daughter is 16 and is on day 12 of fever and chest wall pain. Her fever usually begins in the late afternoon and continues until we treat it with 800 mg of iburpohen or a dose of Tylenol 3 with codeine. It ususally hovers betwwn 101 and 102 degrees.
She has no other symptoms other than a headache when the fever is in progress.
Her chest, ears, throat, and nose are clear. Chest X-rays show nothing and CBC came back looking perfectly normal. Urinalysis and a strep test also came back with no indications of abnormalities. Even the doctors are stumped.
