Nerve pain after acetabulum fracture surgery

I fractured my acetabulum after falling off a ladder on 6/11 and had surgery on 6/13. My doctor said everything went back together beautifully. I am now 2.5 months out and the only pain I have is in my foot due to nerve pain. My doctor said that no nerves were cut but there was some stretching due to the surgery and I guess maybe just from the fall. Since the nerves have not been cut, does anyone have any experience as to how long the foot nerve pain lasts or at least begins to get better? I am on 1500mg of neurontin a day. I take 300mg in the morning, 600mg in the afternoon, and 600mg before bed. It has helped a lot but I still have pain at times throughout the day.

  • Soup, my acetabular fracture happened Jan 2010 in an auto accident. I was also told no nerves were cut but the nerves were traumatized and would heal up. My hip never hurts but I still have off & on pain in my foot and have a pretty constant tingling of my toes. Probably not what you wanted to hear but hopefully yours will heal up well. Good luck.
