I had surgery to correct a herniated disc in my neck-they took bone from my hip to put in my neck. The day I came home I was walking in my room and heard a loud POP and had excruciating pain-broken pelvis at graft site. They say this is rare. I still have chronic pain on weight bearing, sitting too long, walking too far. I was home 3 months with this. Ortho finally sent me for a cat scan this week which said irregularity in both superior and lateral iliac crest. I just dropped off films today for ortho to look at-has anyone else ever broken their pelvis and pain lasted this long? They did not operate-let it heal on its own. Now he is saying maybe malunion of fracture. Too young to live like this!! Thanks for any responses!!
