is there a way to reduce hemoglobin levels by diet? and does the intake of sugar have any effect on hemoglobin levels?:)

  • Too much hemoglobin is dangerous. Too little hemoglobin in anemia. Sugar has no effect on hemoglobin. Do research on internet on sources of hemoglobin and try to reduce in diet.

  • thanks for the reply. I was wondering because my doctor wants my hemoglobin at 12. Having hemochromatosis i wasn't sure what i could do to reduce it.

  • I had therapeutic phlebotomys to bring my hemoglobin and hematocrit levels down. It took 7 pints of blood in 7 weeks to get it down to where it should be.thanks for the reply. I was wondering because my doctor wants my hemoglobin at 12. Having hemochromatosis i wasn't sure what i could do to reduce it.
