chest pains

I am currently a young, healthy woman.

However, about two years ago little chest spasms that would take away my breath for a split second gradually became blunt pain that would last for a few minutes and beathing in would induce sharp pain. I would get these every few hours for a couple of weeks, they then subsided, but every couple of months it reoccurs. I went to a doctor and got an xray but he didnt think anything was wrong.

I have also never had high blood pressure but have used blood pressure moniters and discovered that after really no physical activity at all, I will have a rapid heart beat. For example, 120 bpm just a few minutes after waking up. This only bothers me because there is one theory that a heart only has so many beats in its live.

Other than the occasional pain, I seem to be functioning, should i not worry?
