Hi, I am a 27 year old female. I have been having chest discomfort/pain for the past week. It is a constant dull achy pain with occasional sharp stabbing pains. It is like in the middle of my chest and to the left in my chest. I went to my family doctor tuesday and he ordered a couple tests (chest xray, EKG, Blood work and an echocardiogram) everything came back normal except the echo. It showed that I have a mild mitral valve prolapse. However, my family doctor does not think that is the cause of my symptoms. I was wondering what could be causing my symptoms and if there is anything to worry about with the mitral valve prolapse. I have also had severe headaches for the past couple years, a couple of episodes of what was thought to be mini strokes, but no proof on tests. if anyone has any idea what could be wrong, I would appreciate your insight.
