Strange headache!

I am new to this site and I'm so thankful for its existence maybe somebody can finally tell me why I suffer from this headaches! I've had them for 5 years now and I've been to the doctor many times and all they've ever told me it's that it's "normal", which I find very unlikely...

So, everynow and then I feel this pain inside my head in a small spot, everytime it's in a different spot... the pain(which actually bothers me more than anything it wasn't ever really painful until a few days ago when this chronic headache began hurting)usallly lasts a few minutes and then goes away and then may come back again in a few hours in the same spot or a different spot. If I'm suffering from this headache and I bow my head down to look for something(thus getting my head with more blood, I guess) , it hurts more or If I have to go to the toilet it also hurts more when... well I'll leave that to your imagination or If I have to do any physical effort it hurts more, it seems that whenever I get more blood pumped to my brain and I'm having a headache it just makes it worse...

I've also noticed that when I'm suffering(and I mean not necessarly having a headache at that very moment) from these headaches which have been very common these days, If I'm laying down or sitting and I stand up, I feel dizzy everytime I stand up(only during the days I'm having thiss headache), I feel blood coming down from my head... and feel really dizzy for a few seconds and sometimes I even get blurry vision.

Well, any type of information will be appreciated... Thanks in advance!

  • What kinds of doctors have you been to, just primary care, neurologist, a neurologist that specializes in headaches? What kinds of tests have they done, MRI, CT, anything? Have you ever tried keeping track of everything you do for a week to see if there is any pattern to the onset? That includes what you eat and drink, stress, computer use, reading, exercise, sleep, times of all of the above and times you get the headaches.

  • Haha this is unbelievable! I am new to this forum but I am posting because I am pretty sure I know many of you have. A csf leak(cerebrospinal fluid leak). A HA that gets worse when doing strenuous activity and while upright. when lying down the HA gets better. Research this and let me know what you think.
