Headaches with pain focused around eyes, nose and ears

Hey, I get these headaches regularly around the time 4-7 PM every day. Most of the pain is focused between/above the eyes and it feels sorta good touching/squeezing/massaging the nose, area under the eyes, eye brow region and area around the ears. With the headaches comes all sort of unpleasantness, I get really sensitive against light and sounds and stuff. Paracetamol doesn't seem to kill the pain, it just dulls it a little. I've been searching a little about this on the net, the thing that sounds most similar to what I'm describing is a "sinus headache", which would kinda make sense. A few years ago I used to get a really runny nose all the time, regardless of season (so it wasn't due to a grass/seed allergy) and I'd say these headaches coincide with when I stopped getting a runny nose . It's also about the same time I stopped doing sports (and I don't exercise regularly these days), and everytime I do sports these days I end up coughing up mucus. So is this a sinus headache or am I about to die or something?

  • Sounds like your next appointment needs to be with an ear, nose and throat specialist. You could have something like nose polyps which usually only get worse without treatment.

  • I have been getting what sound like the same symptoms as you for about 5 years now, i have recently had sinus surgery where they found and removed some polyps but unfortunately the pain still remains unchanged as before.
