Hello everyone I am 20 years old and was in the ER yesterday because my neck was stiff and I have been having a near nonstop headache for the past week or so. I will list all of my symptoms as I am not sure if some of them may be causing the headache or not. I have had a stiff neck, not so much that I can't move it but sort of in the back of my head. My neck has also become rather sore and hurts a little for me to turn it in certain directions. The headaches are not so severe that I am not able to function but enough to be really annoying. Sometimes the pain will spike a bit.
I have been taking Ibuprofen with codeine and it doesn't do much to relieve the pain. Also I have been having stomache aches a little below my belly button on either side. It has made me feel nausea but not to the point of where I want to throw up. They have done blood tests and those all came back normal. I didn't have an MRI or CT scan as the doctor said it seemed I did not need one. I don't know if this is connected with my headaches but I get a slight pain in my groin as if being kicked there but it dissapates very quickly.
I have had a little trouble concentrating at times but this may just be from my head hurting. Also not sure if this is connected but I have been having a very minor twitchy pain on one side of my chest that also only last a few seconds. The pain is sort of on the right center of my chest. I have high level of anxiety so I don't know if I am causing some of these symptoms myself but the headaches and nausea/ stomach ache has been around for a week now and I wasn't very anxious at the time I started getting them.

Me too, I just posted about it. Almost like someone has hit you in the head with a pointed object. Started three weeks ago. all of my left side. My ear hurts too.

I know it has been a while since this was posted but I just thought I would mention that I was doing some research this weekend about icepick headaches as they seem to be the latest addition to my 3 other ongoing headache diagnosis. Anyway, I read that there really isn't anything you can take to stop the icepick headache from coming on because it shows up without warning and then dissapates quickly but for those that require treatment for them, the best preventative medication (meaning you take it daily) is indomethacin (Indocin). Hope this helps!
