My fiancee had a terrible head ache thismoring just after sex. It was just as he'd finished comming and he collapsed on me holding his head. He said it felt like it was behind his eye and going further back into his head. He looked in terrible pain and it's really worrying. I told him to call a doctor but he was determined he would be fine and go to work. This is the first time it's ever happend I think. I read an artical on this site that it's normally nothing but can sometimes be a sign of things which are much more serious including a bleed on the brain. How likely is this with it being the first time it's happend??

Please help. xx

  • How old is your fiance? Is he in shape? What you describe doesn't sound normal at all, it sounds more like a blood clot or indication of high cholesterol, heart problems, etc. At the very least he should talk to a doctor about it. If you want to play it safe, have him get a CT of the brain and look for any signs of clotting or changes.

  • Hi, Is your partner ok now??? I just read your thread about him suffering extreme head pain after sex. I had a perfectly normal sex life and just the occasional tension headaches. Then I started suffering extreme pain in my head at the point of orgasm. So painful that I couldn't even speak. The pain would last for approximately 20 seconds then ease off. After experiencing this 3 or 4 times over a period of about 2 weeks I didn't want to have sex with my partner and was too terrified to have an orgasm. I went to see my Doc about it and he said that it was probably just a form of mirgraine. After a week or so it happened again while orgasming. The pain was the worst I had ever experienced and didn't go away it just got worse and worse. I tried to get out of bed and collapsed on the floor. That's the last thing I remember before waking up in hospital 3 months later. Apparently I had a subarachnoid haemorrhage and the pain I was experiencing in the weeks leading up to the bleed was caused by the anuerysm swelling and being under strain at the point of extremely high blood pressure. (At the point of orgasm everyone's blood pressure goes really high). I had many operations, including clipping of the aneurysm, a shunt fitted and a second aneurysm clipped because that also started swelling. I'm ok now and I've never again experienced head pain at the point of orgasm. After the operations I moved house and my new Doc took a medical history. She said that I was very lucky because a few years ago she had a male patient who started suffering extreme pain whilst orgasming. The patient collapsed and died on top of his girlfriend when a massive aneurysm erupted close to his brain stem. He died within a few minutes before she even had chance to phone for the paramedics. If its still happening make sure your partner goes to see his Doc and demands an angiogram. Don't let them fob you off with a CT scan because they don't always show up aneurysms. Regards. Wicker.God bless the British National Health Service - $650,000 worth of surgery/medical treatment and it didn't cost me a penny - no health insurance required if you're British. I pay only $80 a month national insurance contributions - In return, I get free unlimited health treatment; $480 per month income from the state to top-up my part-time salary; and a $200 per week pension at the age of 63 for the rest of my life. Thank God I'm British.

  • I had the most massive explosion in my head upon orgasm with my husband a few years ago and ended up in hospital (for 10 days) as an emergency. Felt really embarrasing having to explain how it happened (when I could eventually speak!) I had to have injections to calm & relax me & they discovered after scans that I had an artery straighten in the front of my head. I was under a tremendous amount of stress at the time. It was awful, I felt I needed to hold my head on or it was going to explode off my shoulders. I can still feel that pain now when I think about it!I have just started to have mini excrutiating ones again, nothing like before but I still have the dull ache in my head from last nights one... I'm under a lot of stress again with financial problems. Best I go to the doctor I suppose

  • When I was sicker with a chronic illness I have (severe ME/CFS).. I used to get headaches with climaxing. Fortunately thou quite uncomfortable, they were only short lived (less then 5-10min) and not extreme ones and I arent getting them anymore now that my health is a little better. My boyfriend who has high BP.. gets headaches too with climax.. (neither of us have ever brought this symptom to our doctor). So I think this kind of headaches must be fairly common thou obviously serious in some
