Hi,
I have a strange symptom. Since a 4-5 weeks, I have been having a funny burning sensation on the left side on my head. The sensation in side the head and in a particular area. I have noticed that if I sleep a lot, the sensation becomes very mild but if stressed physically (like less sleeping), it tends to be more. Also, the burning sensation is more if I have acidity or irregular eating patterns. Sometimes, I get a rash on my left side of head (under the hair) somewhere near the same place as the burning sensation. The rash I think is associated with acidity as my stomach is upset during that period as well. The rash goes away by itself after 2 days or so. This has happened a few times already. Take note that I get phlegm sometimes and have sinus (if incase this is related in any way to sinus).

I am ok with the acidity but not sure why I am having this burning sensation in the head. I visited a neurologist 2 weeks back. He checked my reflexes, asked for any neckaches, etc and told me that there is nothing wrong with my head. I have no neckaches and my reflexes are perfect.

Its not like a headache but the burning sensation is quite irritating and worrying. Please help me in understanding this problem of mine. Has anyone got similar issues?

Rgds,
Capriconian

It disappears after 2-3days. However, its appearance matches the period when my meals are irregular and have increased acidity in my stomach etc.. have also had cases of gastritis and stomach ulcers and initially thought that the rashes on the head are a side effects of taking medication (PPI). But these days I get them when I'm not taking any medication as I only have mild symptoms of heartburn which occur when my meals are not regular and I skip meals...

My burning I liken to a numbing effect of sensations spreading out I also have strange scalp itching and strang bumps
