i have the following symptoms regularly:

1.) i get migraines relatively often ever since about 5-6 years ago, (90% of the time the trigger is sunlight, and very sensiitve to loud sound and siunlight during mirgraine). SOMETIMES it gets really bad that it is accompanied with fever like symptoms (wanting to vomit, dizzy, profuse sweating, body heats up uncontrollably then shivers).

2.) stiff neck problem also started around 5-6 years ago

3) feel a little tenderness back of head (inside, not outside)

My GP gurantees i do not have meningitis or else i would have been dead already. he says meningitis does not last more than a few weeks. what is your opinion?

  • I too suffer from severe migraines and have had 3, yes 3, CONFIRMED cases of viral meningitis in the last 12 months... and hospitalized for all 3. Since the last episode, i have had a headache continuously... it is better on some days, than others, but get so severe that i find myself nauseated and vomitting. I am being referred to an infectious disease specialist and neurologist because my primary physician says he is at a loss as to what to do for me. I am on daily antivirals, painkillers, anti nausea meds.

  • Hello migraines is very severe problem. This mainly occurs due to stress. Mental exercises and natural supplements are very beneficial in curing this problem.

  • A lumbar puncture may be used to diagnose or exclude meningitis. This involves inserting a needle into the spinal canal to extract a sample of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), the fluid that envelops the brain and spinal cord.
