Hello, recently (the last 3 days) I've felt unusual shooting pains from the right side of my neck up into my head, now today it's gone to the left side. They only last about 2-3 seconds, and come usually every 15min to a half hour. I went to the doctors (I go every couple of months) and he thought that it could be a pinched nerve, but that was before they moved onto the right side.

I am pretty healthy, get blood tests done regulary, blood pressure is perfect, heart and lungs are good, all internal organs are working amazingly.

From what I've been reading on this site, a Tension Headache seems to fit the description the best, I don't have that much stress, but because of my job (chef) and my living situation (5 people in our house) I can sometimes get upset.

Anybody else ever had these symptoms and can anyone guide me to further information.

  • I have had those they call them ice pick headaches.....So they say. I feel like a hypochondriac all the time because between headaches and shooting pains in my head I really don't know what to think. Had MRI's done and nothing, just scar tissue from the headaches. They are very real and very scary, but my neurologist said they were ice pick headaches...
