Hi, my name is Julie and I am a nurse. I have had amnesia episodes upon awakening that last 45 min.since March of this year 2014. Which I believe to be Transient Epilepsy Amnesia. They are now being accompanied by partial motor seizures, in which my arms are tingling, I black out, then my eyes roll back, I make gurgle sounds and stop breathing at times. All which have been witnessed by my husband and my daughter of 25 years old and recorded. It happens once a month sometimes twice in a 2 hour episode. They took my D.L. and I am unable to work now and on disability. The Neurologist I was seeing, hospitalized me, with a EEG machine that was broken for 3 of the 4 days I was hospitalized and with no episode of course, because I had just had one a week prior to being hospitalized, so of course there would have been no amnesia or seizure episode. Neurologist wrongly diagnosed me as non epileptic according to the (broken) EEG and no amnesia episode. I told my primary physician of what happened and he agreed with me that I needed to be referred to a specialist. Which was just last week August 5th. I am needing a specialist, does anyone know anybody? Please help me. Thank you. (916) 546-0456Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
