5 days ago, I was hit in the left side of my face a couple of times and my upper teeth area, cheek has been numb since. Will this go away in time or do I have nerve damage. Thank you.

  • Depending on the case, recovery can take even up to 3 months. Best to see a doc to make sure. Get well soon & hope this helps.

  • The same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago, the left cheek, lips and teeth are numb but it has gotten a *little* bit better. I had one doctor tell me it should resolve with time and another tell me it wouldn't. I'm taking the positive approach. I take motrin for anti inflammatory purposes, moist heat to increase circulation in the area and help repair the nerve as well as taking my vitamins to help ensure an optimal immune system and I've heard b vitamins help the nervous system. I've also tried light massage and facial exercises to stimulate the muscles and blood flow. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.

Thank you. Please visit a doctor- and be very positive. It is good to be on the safe side, let a doctor evaluate you.If you don't feel right after a while you may also want to visit a doctor of Oriental medicine or Acupuncturist and see if he can help you with a gentle treatment. Also, if you can find a Reiki person, or a free Reiki volunteer in your area, try some Reiki. It does not replace going to the doctor, but it will help you heal on many levels.Take care dear-
