Doc says there's nothing wrong with me, but...

On thursday night I passed out from standing up, usually it only goes as far as unsteadiness, black vision, headache and ringing ears, then im fine. Well, I stood up slowly, like I usually do (doesn't seem to help!), got the black vision again, but this time, next thing I know I wake up on the floor staring blankly ahead with my leg twitching like crazy. Dunno why. So we went into the doc, he runs blood tests and an EKG, and says I'm in the normal range.

Alright fine, I can deal. Well yesterday it happened again! This time I woke up against my wall, face tingling, and it felt like a string had been wrapped around my head and was spinning it around. Plus if I weren't wearing a towel (To dry my hair) I probably would have a nice big bump on my head where it hit the wall, though I do have a sweet bruise on my hip from it! XD

So yeah, now my hands are shaking, I dont know what the eff is going on and it's kind of freaking me out a bit. (I dont think it's low sugar, I had a mountain dew and some carrots so far today...) I tried holding random things steady and they just shook... Not that bad though, it's fairly subtle. So, apart from any blood problems and electrical problems with my heart (With what that 10 sec EKG said), what could this be? What can I do about it??

  • Have you checked with any other doctor regarding your problem? I had an episode as you described except that I didn't pass out. I have other symptoms as well. Was seen by an E.R. doctor who ran ekg, chest x-ray, blood workup, and cat scan. All tests proved to be ok as far as the heart was concerned (mind you I am only 35). He discharged me with the name of a neuro surgeon to follow up with for a MRI. Still waiting to be seen and I was in E.R Friday 8/22/08. The doctor is questioning whether I have an blood clot, turmor, or had a mini-stroke. In the meantime I have been off work, unable to drive, and waiting for the ok to get back to normal. If you haven't been treated and your symptoms continue, I would strongly suggest doing some research regarding the symptoms you are having. Could be nothing or it could save you from something more serious. Good luck. Niki
