Water retention and swelling after broken wrist....

I broke my wrist over 3 months ago. Full arm cast for 3 weeks, half arm cast for 3 weeks and physical therapy for 6 weeks. I think that the second cast was too tight and they finally cut the side of it to loosen it one week before it was to come off. Have done all the exercises and hydrotherapy and still have fluid built up in my fingers and knuckles. Has anyone ever had this when they broke their wrist and what did you do to help alleviate some of this fluid build up. This is getting very frustrating as it is my right hand and I am right handed....so its hard to do things with the hand when it is swollen and tight. Just trying to find some type of remedy that will get the hand back to normal.
